“A generally brilliant experience. Nice spacious room. Very clean throughout. Really well-equipped kitchen. Welcoming supportive staff, happy to do whatever was needed. A great location for travelling around and very quiet for sleeping.”

The Marlborough Six Town House is 5 minutes’ walk from South Kensington Station and 7 minutes’ walk from Sloane Square station in Chelsea. The location is also a few minutes’ walk from London’s main museums – the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museums – and a short bus ride from the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace and Gardens and Hyde Park. Other major sights, such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Whitehall, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, London’s famous Theatres and the Tower of London are easily reached by direct tube from South Kensington or Sloane Square stations in a few minutes, in most cases. For shopping, High Street Kensington is one stop away and Regent Street, Bond Street and Oxford Street can easily be reached via Piccadilly Circus, direct from South Kensington.
The fully serviced townhouse is laid out over three floors, with a spacious feel throughout. The Ground Floor has the large open-plan, modern, well-equipped kitchen and dining area with seats for 8 guests as well as an extra toilet for the house. Access to the good sized garden is through the kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen has a handy flat screen TV, 4-ring SMEG gas hob, Siemens oven, SMEG microwave, large fridge/freezer, Bosch dishwasher, toaster and kettle. Cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glass are all provided, along with a few basics you will need to get started. The apartment has ample power sockets and the dining table easily doubles as a comfortable desk, for when you need to work. The Bosch washing machine is in a cupboard off the hallway
The first floor contains a luxurious well laid out lounge and dining area. A good size sofa and chair face a large 50″ flat-screen TV with Freeview satellite channels. Free Wifi works well throughout the house. The townhouse has hardwood flooring throughout the entire house. There is access to a terrace from the Lounge.
Also on the first floor, the spacious Master Bedroom has a superb size with a queen size Double bed, more than ample wardrobes, mirror and plenty of space to potentially add a cot or quality airbed for a 7th guest. There is a modern en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower over.
On the Second Floor, the second bedroom is similarly spacious to the Master Bedroom with a queen size double bed and ample wardrobes. The third bedroom also has a Double bed. Another modern bathroom sits between these 2 bedrooms, also with bathtub and shower over. Access from the 2nd floor terrace is through the Third Bedroom.
Your fully serviced townhouse is just a short walk from the village-like feel of South Kensington, with its individual shops and wide range of restaurants offering all kinds of cuisine. A walk in the other direction, down Sloane Avenue takes you to King’s Road – first a byword for everything fashionable in the 1960’s and still a focal point for fashion shopping, with many major brands well represented. Chelsea is another wonderful area for a range of restaurant choices covering almost every type of cuisine imaginable.
The Saatchi Gallery, home to a stunning collection of contemporary art, and the Royal Hospital Chelsea – home to the Chelsea Pensioners and site of the Chelsea Flower Show each year are also very close by.
